Summary of Duties: To setup and operate archwire and coiler machines and to be responsible for the quality of the products your assigned machine produces.

Essential Duties: Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Sets stops, guides & cams to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template. Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation per WI. Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.

Education Level: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Experience: one to three months related experience

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Essential Duties: Grind, weld and count Core. Follow procedures specific to each operation. Thread Ribbon, Etch. Inspect. Re-work. Clean. Roll & Buff. J. Pack. All functions are done as part of a cell environment, where it is important to the entire group reaching a certain quota.

Education Level: HIgh School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Experience: one to three months related experience

Fourslide Set Up Operator - New Britain, CT

Summary of Duties: Sets up and operates Fourslide to trim, punch, shape, notch and crimp metal.

Essential Duties: Selects cams, forming tools, and dies according to setup sheets. Aligns and bolts specified cams to shaft, forming tools to tool blocks and die sets to machine rams when applicable. Threads stock through stock straighteners. Turns flywheel by hand to produce sample part and compares sample with specifications. Synchronizes action of slides to feed, cut-off and form part. Readjusts machine to achieve specified product dimensions. Starts machine and observes operation periodically gauging parts for conformance to specifications. Removes, replaces, and labels trays of finished products. Inspection of product using measuring equipment and SPC data.

Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Four to ten years related experience and/or training.

Refers all personnel issues to supervisor. Leaves detailed and understandable notes as to the problems and status of jobs when necessary. Refers extensive machine repairs to maintenance personnel.

Summary of Duties: Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts

Essential Duties: Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications. Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly. Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly. Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance. Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated. Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Education Level: Associates Degree and/or related experience

Experience: Two to four years related experience.

Essential Duties: Assembles, installs and aligns dies in press according to specifications Adjusts ram stroke to specified length Positions work piece against fixtures or stops on machine bed or on die Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction Inspects work piece for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors Cleans and lubricates machines

Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 10+ years experience preferred
